Maple Ridge, B.C., Nov. 18, 2025 – Residents can now explore upcoming performances, gallery exhibits, public art, venue rentals, programs, Artist in Residence works, and artist opportunities — all in one place on the City’s bold new online arts hub.
The vibrant and accessible MapleRidge.ca/Arts replaces the website (TheActMapleRidge.org) previously run by the Arts Council as the go-to space for presenting and experiencing art and theatre at the Maple Ridge ACT Centre. It provides a new home for creativity and convenient, mobile-friendly access to arts and culture alongside the City’s existing online services.
“The ACT has a full roster of performances and art opportunities for our community through to the end of the year, and our staff is working hard to bring even more exciting and diverse programming when the City takes over operations of the ACT in 2026,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy. “To meet our commitment around a smooth transition, residents can now access everything—from show tickets to artist calls—directly through the Maple Ridge website. It’s intuitive and reflects the creative energy of our community.”
Exciting New Season Coming in 2026
Residents can look forward to a full lineup of 2026 performances at the ACT Arts Centre including:

- The Zaniac
- Tricoter
- BOOM YZ
- The Golden Anniversaries: An Arts Club Theatre Company Production
- Tina Leon
More productions will be announced on the website and social media in the coming months as the City continues in its commitment to providing diverse, high-quality arts experiences.

Residents are encouraged to visit MapleRidge.ca/Arts or follow City social channels for updates.
ACT Centre Transition Underway
As of January 1, 2026, the City will assume operations of the ACT Arts Centre and Theatre from the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council. ACT staff, volunteers, and contractors will continue supporting programming wherever possible. Rental bookings, exhibitions, and ticketed events have already transitioned to the new online hub to ensure a seamless experience.
“Our teams are well-prepared to support this transition and deliver exceptional arts experiences to our community,” said Russ Brummer, Manager of Arts, Culture and Events. “We’ve been working closely with staff and community partners to ensure residents and artists enjoy a seamless, positive experience — both online and at our facilities.”
The City is committed to retaining ACT staff, volunteers and contractors wherever possible to maintain continuity while existing rental bookings, art exhibitions, and ticketed events have now been transitioned to the new online arts hub.
