How Does It Work?
The Discovery Hub is a community-driven tool that is integrated throughout the City of Maple Ridge’s website (and searchable at Discover.MapleRidge.ca) that makes it easy for people to find local events, experiences, and activities. With smart AI search, filter options, and multiple viewing formats, the hub connects residents and visitors to what’s happening in Maple Ridge—fast.
The hub also allows businesses and community groups to publish their own recreation, tourism, or hospitality-based events and activities to the hub. Interested groups simply need to create a free profile, click the + button at the top of either our Events or Experiences pages, then fill in the details and submit. Event and Activity listings must comply with the City’s event policy and are subject to review by City staff prior to being publicly viewable.

Ready to Share Your Event or Activity?
Events that happen infrequently or are more gathering oriented should be listed on the Events page. Events or activities that occur frequently, are offered as a service that can happen at any time on demand, or are oriented to small groups or individuals should be listed on the Experiences page. If you are unsure of where your Event or Activity should be listed please contact Tourism@MapleRidge.ca.

Event Eligibility and Approval
Events must align with the City's values, policies and be open to the public. Events and activities can not promote religious worship, political parties, pornography, illegal activities, or a primary focus on alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, firearms, or vaping products. Events must comply with our Eligibility Requirements.
Events must be created by an authorized representative of the business/event linked to community hub listings and be submitted with valid organizer contact details and website information related to the event being submitted.
The City reserves the right to edit event details and potentially deny approval of event if they do not comply with the above terms and policies.
