The Maple Ridge Culture Plan, titled Walking Together, was endorsed in 2018 after eight months of extensive community-based research and public engagement, involving nearly 5,000 touchpoints from residents, stakeholders, and local Nations. The plan articulates a clear vision with guiding principles such as creativity, sustainability, inclusivity, and connection. It outlines six strategic priorities—ranging from Indigenous cultural heritage to cultural tourism—and is supported by specific goals and actions.
