Alert Maple Ridge

The City of Maple Ridge is now using Alertable, branded as Alert Maple Ridge, as the City’s official emergency alert system.

Alert Maple Ridge delivers urgent emergency alerts and localized instructions directly to residents, businesses, and visitors during critical emergency events such as severe weather, flooding, fires, earthquakes, evacuations, and other public safety emergencies.

Starting October 1, all City emergency alerts will be sent exclusively through Alertable.

Alertable keeps you informed with critical emergency alerts. 

Here’s how to connect:

• Download the Alertable app from the Apple App Store or Google Play
• Sign up to receive alerts and set your region to Maple Ridge at https://alertable.ca/signup/index.html?site=BC32
• Customize settings. Features include language options, maps, pictures, and additional incident details. Optional features include phone volume override for critical alerts, "follow me" tracking for roaming alerts across Canada, and built in integration with "what3words" to provide your location to first responders in an emergency
• Contact EmergencyProgram@MapleRidge.ca if you require alternative ways to receive emergency alerts, including phone or text
• For non-emergency updates visit MapleRidge.ca/Connect to sign up for City notices

If you currently receive emergency alerts through Voyent Alert, you must sign up for Alertable before October 1 to continue receiving emergency alerts. Non-emergency notices and City updates will continue to be provided through Voyent Alert and on the City’s website. Visit MapleRidge.ca/Connect to explore all the ways you can connect with news, notices and information about your City.

After downloading the app, follow the setup instructions to personalize your alerts. You can: 

• Choose alert sound settings
• Override silent mode for critical alerts
• Turn advisory alerts on or off
• Select alert categories
• Add multiple locations
• Enable Follow Me notifications while travelling

To update settings at any time: Open the app, and select "settings."
