Whether you're constructing a new building, renovating your home, or hosting a large event, there are many instances where utilizing the City's roads or boulevards is convenient—or necessary.
Use of the City's roads and boulevards is regulated under the Highway and Traffic Bylaw and requires a Highway Use Permit. Some examples of common uses of roads and boulevards that require a Highway Use Permit are:
- Block party or other large event
- Temporary storage in the boulevard (bins or containers)
- Movement of oversize loads
If you would like to use a road or boulevard, you are required to apply for a Highway Use Permit and pay a fee.
