After a comprehensive review, the City of Maple Ridge is transitioning fitness classes to an in-house service, effective Jan 1, 2025. This move aligns with best practices and aims to enhance responsiveness, service quality, accessibility, program offerings, flexibility, and revenue opportunities. We thank Curtis Health for their service since April 2018. The transition plan includes a robust recruitment campaign for fitness instructors to minimize service disruptions for residents. Current instructors are encouraged to apply! Thanks for your support and patience.
The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre (11925 Haney Place) is located in the heart of down town and has many varied sport amenities and programs that make great use of its fitness centre, gymnasium, sport courts and indoor pool.

To help keep the water sparkling and clean, please shower before entering the pools.
A “shoe-free” environment keeps the decks, showers and pools clean and enjoyable for all users.
Please be aware that the pool change rooms will close 15 minutes after the facility closes.
Children under 8 years of age must be within arms reach of an adult when swimming in our pool facilities.
Last-Minute Changes to Swim Schedules & Operations
Pool visitors may notice last-minute changes to drop-in schedules in addition to operational changes due to ongoing staffing challenges. These changes, while inconvenient, are made in the interest of our customers' safety and to ensure our pools are appropriately staffed at all times.
Operational changes may include:
Pool closure or section closure
Length of drop-in session
Cancellation of drop-in session
Cancellation of swimming lessons (please note that registrants will be notified directly as soon as possible)
We understand the frustration that program impacts cause and recognize they greatly affect our valued participants and the quality of our programs. Our team is committed to providing service excellence through building staff resources, incorporating customer feedback and improving on our current and future offerings.
