Yes, proof of residency is required. You can verify your residency and get a Maple Ridge Proud sticker by visiting the front desk at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre or Hammond Outdoor Pool.

• At the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre, you can verify your residency with your Xplor Recreation account, driver’s license, Maple Ridge student ID card, or a utility bill.
• At Hammond Outdoor Pool, residency can only be verified using your driver’s license, Maple Ridge student ID, or a utility bill.

The initiative is designed to remove barriers and create more opportunities for residents of Maple Ridge to enjoy the pool, making it accessible to everyone in the community.

Yes, while free admission applies to specific swims, other services such as instructor-led programs, private rentals, and special events are not included in the free admission and will still require payment.

Why is Drop-In (Public) Swim only available on Saturdays and Sundays at HOP in June?

There are two reasons that Drop-In (Public) Swim is only available at Hammond Outdoor Pool on Saturdays and Sundays in June: a) to support our local Swim Clubs, and b) to ensure we offer a reliable schedule of operation while we continue to build our aquatic supervisory team at our indoor and outdoor pool facilities. 

Our goal is to increase the amount of drop-in time offerings in July and August, the schedule for which will be released mid to late June.

Why is there no outdoor Aqua Fitness in June?

Aqua Fitness will not be available at Hammond Outdoor Pool in June to ensure we offer a reliable schedule of operation while we continue to build our aquatics team at our indoor and outdoor pool facilities.
