Maple Ridge is growing at twice the national average with 106,000 residents and counting. We’re leveraging innovative policies, strategic planning, digital tools, streamlined processes, and strong partnerships to help ensure that we deliver more housing that is affordable, inclusive, and integrates with our plans for smart, sustainable city growth.
Planning for Intentional Growth
We're planning for smart, inclusive growth that’s guided by provincial legislation and driven by data.

Grounded in data from the 2024 Housing Needs Report, our Housing Action Plan guides how and where we grow.
We've exceeded our year one growth target by 23% - we built 751 net new homes. We're working to meet BC’s Housing Supply Act target of 3,954 by June 2029.
The City's Official Community Plan (OCP) and related area plans (Albion, Hammond, Silver Valley, Town Centre) are being updated to meet the Province's legislative requirements to ensure local plans align with provincial housing targets. For more information, visit MapleRidge.ca/OCPAreaPlans.
