The Albion Community Centre (ACC) will be closed to the public from June 23 to June 27 for its first scheduled maintenance shutdown since opening to allow for deep cleaning, facility repairs, and upgrades to enhance the user experience.

Regular operations will resume June 28. The Great Hall will remain closed until July 6.

Scope of Maintenance Work

The City will carry out a range of comprehensive maintenance work, including:

  • Deep Cleaning: Thorough cleaning of all multi-use rooms, washrooms, and common areas
  • Floor Refinishing: Restorative care of flooring throughout the facility with a focus on the Great Hall
  • Repairs: Restoration of the dividing wall in the multi-use room to full functionality
  • Upgrades: Fresh paint throughout the building, new fans in Multi-Use Rooms 1 and 2, and the installation of a new wall hanging system to showcase local art
Program and Service Impacts

All programs and services affected by the closure have been temporarily relocated. There will be no disruption to daycare operations, and Food Truck Fridays will continue as scheduled, including a special market pop-up with Coastal Wave Markets on June 27.
