Maple Ridge hosts a number of spectacular community events throughout the year, celebrating many unique aspects of our local arts and culture. We thank you in advance for donating your time and energy to plan events for our community.

Complete Special Event Applications are due a minimum 90 days prior to your event and will be reviewed by safety personnel and site stakeholders. Feedback will be provided by the Cultural Services team. Organizers are encouraged to advertise for the event once preliminary approval is obtained from the City of Maple Ridge. 


In order to ensure you are provided with the correct level of application detail please select one of the following options below regarding the Complexity of your Event this help us to ensure we are collecting the correct amount of information for your request:
Expected attendance is less than 500 people. Contained to a City Park or Facility. No road closures or impacts on sidewalks. No temporary structures (stages, portable washrooms, or large tents). Utilize only existing park infrastructure.
Expected attendance may near or exceed 1,000 people. Little to no pedestrian and vehicle impact expected. No longer than one day in duration. May involve the impact of a City street and or sidewalk. May include acceptable structures such as tents smaller than 600 square ft., small stages, portable washrooms, and Bouncy Castles with appropriate permits.
Expected attendance may near or exceed 3,000 people. May involve liquor licensing. Event may be over multiple days and or locations. May Involve the use of sidewalks, curb lanes and or street closures. Significant impact to pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic in the surrounding area is expected. Set up of large temporary structures such as stages, bleachers etc.

Kindly be aware that should any modifications occur to the event, and if it is considered more complex than the initial submission, the City may request further information.
