Property Tax Notices Have Been Mailed to Homes & Businesses

Maple Ridge, B.C., May 17, 2024 – 2024 Property Tax Notice have been mailed to all homes and businesses in the community and should arrive this week. Property taxes are due on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. 

If a property owner does not receive their Property Tax Notice by June 9, they can contact the City at revenue@mapleridge.ca or download at mycity.mapleridge.ca. To sign up for a ‘MyCity’ account, residents can refer to the previous year’s Property Tax Notice for important information, such as their property folio number and access code. 

Pay Online - Skip the Line  

The City encourages taxpayers to save time and skip the line by paying their taxes online with their financial institution, paying by cheque (not cash) using the City’s secure Drop Box located at the west entrance at City Hall or by mail. (Postmarks are not accepted as proof of on-time payment). More information about payment options is available at mapleridge.ca/propertytaxes. 

For people who choose to make in-person payments, City Hall is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays and open until 8:00 pm every Thursday in June.  

Property owners are advised to pay on time to avoid the following late payment fees:  

        July 3, 2024 - 5% penalty applied to outstanding 2024 taxes and unclaimed Homeowner Grants 

        Sep 4, 2024 - Additional 5% penalty applied to outstanding 2024 taxes and unclaimed grants 

 
Claim Your Homeowner Grant 

Property owners are also reminded that they need to claim their Homeowner Grant with the BC Government by July 2 , 2024. To claim your grant, check your eligibility, or for more information go to gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or call 1-888-355-2700

The 2024 Tax Notices includes the Connect Maple Ridge newsletter which provides information about where your tax dollars are invested and updates on City projects and upcoming events.
