Maple Ridge, B.C., Dec 11, 2024 – The City of Maple Ridge is advising residents to use alternative methods to pay their bills during the ongoing Canada Post labour dispute.
The City’s utility, property tax, dog licence, and business licence renewal accounts can be accessed through MyCity, a secure online service that allows residents and businesses to check account balances and select the option to receive their next tax or utility bill by email.
To register for a MyCity account, the account number and access code from a recent notice or invoice will be needed.
Due to the postal strike, mailed notices will be delayed for the following:
- Business licence renewal notices (Due Dec. 31, 2024)
- Dog licence renewal notices (Due Jan. 31, 2025)
- Property tax notices that have amended balances
- Customers who received their 2024 amended tax notice late will be given an extended due date.
To avoid late fees, interest charges, or penalties as per City bylaws, residents are advised to create and login to a MyCity account to confirm account balances and use alternative payment options.
- City Website (dog and business licences): Pay at MapleRidge.ca/eServices. To request account information or an email of your notice call the Bylaw Department at 604-467-7305.
