Maple Ridge, B.C., May 13, 2026 – Maple Ridge Fire Chief Dave Samson has ordered that, effective Friday, May 15 at 12:00 p.m. (noon), the Category 1 fire ban be lifted city-wide. The order follows the Coastal Fire Centre rescinding the ban within the Coastal Fire Centre jurisdiction due to cooler temperatures, higher humidity, and lower wildfire risk.
