Maple Ridge, B.C., September 25, 2025 – Maple Ridge Fire Chief Dave Samson has lifted the city-wide Category 1 (campfires) and Category 2 open fire ban effective Thursday, September 25, 2025 following the Coastal Fire Centre rescinding the ban due to recent rain and cooler weather.
Category 3 open fire remains prohibited within most of the Coastal Fire Centre, including Maple Ridge, until October 31 or until the order is rescinded.
As residents prepare for the fall burning season and events, the City reminds everyone about the rules for open burning and that fireworks are prohibited without a permit.
