City Thanks the Community, Volunteers, Partners and Sponsors
Maple Ridge, B.C., Sept. 9, 2025 - Maple Ridge’s downtown came alive on Saturday, Sept. 6 as thousands of residents and visitors filled Memorial Peace Park for the second Our Neck of the Woods.
The free all-day festival featured live music, food, markets, cultural showcases, and family-friendly activities. Early estimates show that more than 20,000 people attended over the course of the day, making it one of the largest community celebrations in the city’s history.
Live online and in-person polls gathered from 558 guests during the event revealed that 11.4% were visiting from an outside community, demonstrating the tourism benefit and growing appeal Our Neck of the Woods is having across the Lower Mainland. When 403 guests were asked if they would like to see this event return again next year, 97.8% responded ‘yes’.
"The energy downtown was incredible as people of every generation and walk of life came together to enjoy live music, food, and markets in the heart of our city," said Mayor Dan Ruimy. "From the Indigenous performance and Danielle Ryan’s horseback entrance to the final riffs of the Sam Roberts Band, the festival created unforgettable memories. Seeing Memorial Peace Park filled with happy people all the way back to 224 Street was inspiring, and the feedback we’ve heard has been overwhelmingly positive. People are already asking for it to come back, and I encourage everyone who came out to share their thoughts to help us plan future events."
Residents and visitors can share feedback by completing a post-event survey at Engage.MapleRidge.ca/OurNeckOfTheWoods.
