Maple Ridge, B.C., September 16, 2025 – The City of Maple Ridge is inviting residents to take part in its National Tree Day celebration on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Alouette Park. This annual event brings the community together to enhance local green spaces, connect with environmental organizations, and celebrate the many benefits of trees.
This year’s celebration includes the planting of nine new trees in the park, birdhouse making, face painting, tree sapling giveaway, displays from local organizations, and much more. The event offers a hands-on opportunity for residents to contribute to the growth of Maple Ridge’s urban forest and learn more about ongoing environmental initiatives in the community.
“National Tree Day is a time for us to come together and celebrate the role trees play in making Maple Ridge such a beautiful, livable city,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy. “Trees clean our air, support wildlife, and provide natural spaces that bring people together. This event is about building awareness and strengthening our commitment to protecting and expanding our urban tree canopy.”
