For 27 years, I’ve had a front-row seat to public education in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
I recently retired from School District 42, where I spent 21 years as an Administrative Coordinator at Pitt Meadows and Garibaldi Secondary Schools. I learned what it takes to keep a school running well, and how much schools depend on the people behind them: educators, support staff, families and students.
For 22 years, I’ve also supported the Maple Ridge Community Foundation and its board as an Executive Assistant. This work has deepened my connection to the community I’ve called home for 33 years and strengthened my understanding of collaboration, governance and community service.
My children went through our schools, and now my grandchild is finishing Grade 12 at MRSS. I know this community, I know our schools, and I know how to work with others to get things done.
