I am proud to have served two terms as Board Chair and Vice Chair of the SD42 Board of Education. I bring experience, perspective and a steady hand focused on the Board’s priorities of Literacy and Numeracy, Equity, SEL, Assessment, Innovation and Sustainability.
Experience matters: I value what our current Board accomplished through challenging times by listening carefully, making difficult decisions when necessary and advocating for the resources students and staff need.
Collaboration matters: As Chair, I worked with trustees with different experiences, perspectives and passions. By listening, asking thoughtful questions and finding common ground, we reached decisions centred on students and staff.
Responsible leadership matters: I bring strong knowledge of governance, policy and responsible stewardship of public resources, with a commitment to informed, student-centred decisions.
Community connections matter: For almost two decades, I have built partnerships that support my work in adult literacy and newcomer programs, strengthening our community.
