Hello! My name is Cindy, many of you know me as Mumsy from the tea shop.
Maple Ridge has been home for 48 years. I raised my family, worked in nonprofits and opened Once Upon a Tea Leaf in 2007 with my daughter.
Twenty-four years in business brought success, recessions, a pandemic, rising costs and devastating vandalism. I kept showing up with heart and resilience.
You cannot ask a community to support you if you do not support it. I’ve written community support into our business plan. When Maple Ridge asks for help, we give what we can.
For 19 years, I have volunteered and served on the Downtown Maple Ridge BIA board, building a safer, vibrant downtown.
As an independent, I bring street-level experience to Council: advocating for safer neighbourhoods, a stronger local economy and thoughtful growth.
Every time I raise my hand, Maple Ridge will always come first.
