Running For
Councillor

Affordability is Chelsa Meadus’s top priority. A former Maple Ridge councillor, business owner and longtime community advocate, Chelsa is known as a fiscal watchdog who asks difficult questions, scrutinizes spending and stands up for taxpayers.

Since leaving Council in 2022, she has examined City spending and raised concerns about unclear costs, planning gaps and value for taxpayers, including nearly $400 million in proposed recreation borrowing.

Chelsa is running as an independent focused on controlling taxes and spending, protecting core services, improving community safety and attracting businesses that create local jobs and broaden the tax base.

If elected, she will bring experience, independence and accountability back to Council. Chelsa will review spending line by line and insist major projects are carefully planned, fully costed and shaped by meaningful public consultation.

She believes Maple Ridge can grow and improve while keeping life affordable for the people who live here.
