Jordan Park Playground Upgrade

A new playground for Jordan Park has been chosen based on the feedback from the public engagement. Construction is anticipated to take place over summer / fall of 2026

The playground that was chosen was selected based on what meets the criteria from a competitive request for proposal process that the City undertook. The findings from the public engagement were used to develop the criteria for the playground components evaluation.

The old playground will be removed the swing set will remain. The new larger playground will have exciting new play features like a large tubular spiral slide, side by side slide, a rock wall, interactive panels and accessible disc swing area. The playground structure will also feature an accessible ramp and stairs. The sand play area will remain but will be updated with a sand play table, rocking bulldozer and X&O panel.

The City is inviting residents to provide input on the design of new neighbourhood playground and other park features at Jordan Park, as the current playground is over 25 years old.

These projects aim to ensure that the new play structures continue the City’s commitment to providing safe play environments and meeting the needs and preferences of local families.
