Grant Mountain Reservoir Expansion

To ensure a reliable water supply for our growing community, the City of Maple Ridge is moving forward with the construction of a second reservoir at Grant Mountain.

Description

We're enhancing our water infrastructure by:

• Assessing the existing Grant Mountain reservoir
• Building a brand new reservoir to meet future water needs
• Upgrading geotechnical, structural, mechanical, and operational systems

These improvements will:

• Increase water storage capacity—ensuring a steady supply for current and future residents
• Reduce the risk of water shortages—especially during peak usage
• Improve system reliability—by adding redundancy and strengthening our water network

Status

Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2026 and complete in fall 2027.
