The intersection of 207 Street and Dewdney Trunk Road is being upgraded.

This project will modernize a key intersection with upgraded signals and targeted safety, accessibility, and roadway improvements. The work will improve intersection performance, address traffic concerns, and bring the corridor up to current design and operational standards.
Status
The design has been completed, and construction is scheduled to start in June 2026 and complete in October 2026.
Improve safety and accessibility for all intersection users, especially pedestrians
Modernize the traffic signal operation
Deliver a more reliable, comfortable, and functional public space that better serves the community
We're committed to minimizing disruptions, but some impacts are expected:
Lane closures or single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect
A detour may be required
Construction materials may be stored in the boulevard
Landscaping (trees, hedges, fences, etc.) in the road right-of-way may be trimmed or removed
Trees on private property close to the property line may be trimmed or removed
The sidewalk will be unavailable during construction
We appreciate your patience and support as we invest in a better transportation system in Maple Ridge.
