Baseball Diamond #2 Replacement
The City of Maple Ridge will be replacing baseball diamond number 2 at Merkley Park starting September 12, 2025. The project is part of the City's Lifecycle Replacement and Sports Facilities Improvement plan.
The replacement of the baseball diamond will enhance the baseball players experience, provide additional safety improvements to this park and will enhance the park user experience.
The replacment will include the removal of the existing and the construction of a new higher backstop with covered dugouts, improved field drainage, a new field irrigation system and outfield fencing.
The improvements will provide a greater flexibility for scheduling games and practices for the U9 and U11 age groups.
The anticipated completion is Spring 2026
