As part of a tree planting grant through the Trans Canada Trail – Planting for Tomorrow program, the City will be planting 500 new trees across two park sites, Fairview Park and Whonnock Lake Park.

The tree planting areas have been selected based on limited tree canopy due to past tree failures in an effort to restore the forest canopy in these parks. Tree planting activities will take place during the fall and winter months of 2024-2025. Please respect these newly planted trees by keeping out of the newly planted areas.
