Council has adopted many bylaws and policies that support and protect the Maple Ridge community. The most commonly requested bylaws and policies can be accessed below.

Sign Bylaw

Number: 7630-2020
To regulate the number, size, type, form, appearance and locations of signs within the City of Maple Ridge.

Smoking Regulation Bylaw

Number: 6968-2013
To regulate smoking in the City.

Snow Removal (Highway and Traffic Bylaw)

Number: 6704-2009
For the regulation of traffic and the use of highways and other areas in the City of Maple Ridge (See Section 25 for Snow Removal).

Soil Deposit Regulation Bylaw

Number: 7412-2017
To regulate the placement of fill on land in the City.

Soil Removal Bylaw

Number: 6398-2006
To regulate or prohibit the removal of soil, sand, gravel, rock or other substance of which land is composed from lands within the City of Maple Ridge.

Solid Waste and Recycling Regulation Bylaw

Number: 6800-2011
To regulate the disposal of solid waste and recyclable materials.

Spaying and Neutering Bylaw

Number: 5756-1999
To establish and regulate spaying/neutering of cats within the City of Maple Ridge.

Sprinkler Systems Bylaw

Number: 6184-2003
To provide for the installation of fire sprinkler systems in buildings within the City.

Subdivision Bylaw

Number: 4800-1993
To regulate the subdivision and development servicing of land.

Tax Exemption Bylaw

Number: 7568-2019
To exempt from taxation, certain properties within Maple Ridge for the years 2020-2023.
