Maple Ridge, B.C., June 27, 2025 – The City of Maple Ridge has approved a new Fee for Service Agreement with the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce, strengthening a key partnership that supports local business, economic growth, and community prosperity.
The new three-year agreement, approved by Council on June 24, builds on the success of the City and Chamber’s initial two-year collaboration and expands support for services that include business development, events, and advocacy efforts.
“Our partnership with the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce is one of the ways we’re creating a thriving business environment in Maple Ridge—supporting entrepreneurs, attracting investment, and growing local jobs,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy. “It’s part of delivering on the City’s vision for a prosperous future for residents and the businesses that are the backbone of our economy. This agreement is a prime example of how we work strategically with local partners to ensure businesses have the tools, connections, and advocacy they need to succeed.”
The agreement ensures that the City remains a key partner of the Chamber, fostering stronger collaboration between the City and the business community. It also supports the delivery of the City’s broader economic initiatives, including Business Ready, Choose Maple Ridge, and Maple Ridge Moves.
Chamber Board Chair Jerry Kok welcomed the new agreement. "This partnership enables us to keep building on the momentum we've achieved and reflects the trust the City has placed in our organization—something we deeply value. Together, we're committed to a shared vision: fostering a vibrant and resilient local economy. In today’s climate, supporting local businesses is more vital than ever, and the Chamber is fully committed to this purpose. While our members are always top of mind, we also recognize that the prosperity of Maple Ridge depends on the strength of the entire business community.”
