Splash into Summer: Free Drop-In Swim for Residents and Spray Parks Opening This Weekend

Maple Ridge, B.C. – May 23, 2025 – Summer fun starts this weekend in Maple Ridge! Spray parks across the city open for the season starting today, Friday, May 23 and residents can enjoy free drop-in swimming at Hammond Outdoor Pool beginning Sunday, May 25.

“Let the summer fun begin! We know how important it is for families to have access to spaces where they can stay active, cool off, and connect,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy. “By offering free outdoor swimming, we’re removing barriers and helping create a healthier, more inclusive community for everyone.”

Hammond Outdoor Pool opens for weekend use on May 25, with daily operations beginning June 29 through September 9. Free admission is available to Maple Ridge residents for all public drop-in swim sessions. The program does not include aquafit, swim lessons, private rentals, or special events.

The following spray parks open today:

  • Albion Sports Complex – 23778 104 Avenue
  • Country Lane Estates North – 24295 102A Avenue
  • Country Lake Estates South – 24395 101 Avenue
  • Tsuyuki Park – 11170 241A Street

Small water play features are also available at:

  • Blaney Hamlet Park – 13712 230A Street
  • Cedar Park – 23735 132 Avenue
  • Deer Fern Park – 13393 236 Street
  • Firefighters Park – 11280 238 Street
