Maple Ridge, B.C., January 24, 2025 — The City of Maple Ridge is inviting residents to provide input on a new neighbourhood park that is being developed in Silver Valley, aimed at meeting the needs of this rapidly growing residential area.

The new park, located at 13650 232A Street, will offer a variety of neighbourhood amenities informed by public input, ensuring that it serves the needs and preferences of area residents.

Help Shape the Park Features and Design

The first phase of community engagement is designed to gather input on which features residents would most like to see included in the new park. Feedback will directly shape the park’s design and amenities.

Those interested in providing input are invited to complete a survey, attend the open house, or contact the project team directly.

  • Survey: Deadline is Feb 13. The survey is available online at Engage.MapleRidge.ca/SVNewPark and in print upon request at Engage@MapleRidge.ca or 604-466-4300 (dial 4 and extension 5305).
  • Open House: An opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the project with City staff and participate in an interactive park planning activity.
    • Feb 4, 4 – 7 p.m.
    • Eagles Hall, 23461 132 Avenue

Phase two of community engagement is planned for the summer of 2025 and will invite residents to provide feedback on the park design concept.
