The City's 2026 - 2030 Financial Plan invests in key community priorities: affordability, essential services, and keeping up with growth. The Capital Plan will deliver nearly 140 projects focused on transportation, utilities, public safety, and community amenities.

On May 12, 2026 Council approved the 2026-2030 Financial Plan through the adoption of the amended Five-year Financial Plan and the Property Tax Bylaw, confirming a 3.5% tax increase and investments in key priorities: keeping our community safe, reducing traffic congestion, attracting business, expanding recreation programs. Priorities Guiding the Budget

The business planning process for developing the 2026 operating budget started in July 2025 with the approval of the 2026 Business Planning Guidelines
