Maple Ridge, B.C., October 7, 2024—The City of Maple Ridge invites residents to enjoy an evening of FREE family-friendly fun at the annual Celebrate the Night event, which will take place on Saturday, October 19, at Memorial Peace Park.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and features family entertainment, live performances and the Fireworks Display that will light up the sky at 8:00 p.m. to wrap up the night.
This year’s event promises an exciting lineup of attractions, including:
- Games and Activities for all ages
- Lantern and Light Displays
- Family Fun Entertainment – Enjoy roving entertainment, music on the mainstage, contortionist on the bandstand and the popular carousel ride is back
- Food Trucks offering delicious eats
- Social Media Costume Contest – Dress up and show off your creativity! Post your event photos on Instagram or Facebook tagging @YourMapleRidge and #CelebrateTheNight by midnight on Sunday Oct 20 for a chance to win. Visit MapleRidge.ca/CelebrateTheNight for details.
- Fireworks Display, which will be launched at 8:00 p.m.
“Celebrate the Night has become one of Maple Ridge’s most cherished fall traditions, bringing families, friends, and neighbours together to celebrate the season and the vibrancy of our community,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy. “This year has been exceptional, from Rock the Block to the BC Summer Games and our incredible Our Neck of the Woods Festival. Fireworks Display Safety Measures
For everyone’s safety, the Maple Ridge Fire Department will supervise a designated safety zone around the Maple Ridge Civic Centre during the fireworks. Residents are reminded that fireworks are prohibited in the City without a special events permit.
Road Closures
Attendees should be aware of road closures and detours in the area and plan accordingly. With parking limited, residents are encouraged to walk, cycle, take transit, or carpool.
