The City of Maple Ridge is disheartened to hear about the incident involving the fire that burned the newly built patio at Chameleon Restaurant this weekend. We share our heartfelt thoughts with the owners, staff, and patrons of Chameleon Restaurant, who have been looking forward to the official opening of this new space.

Chameleon Restaurant is a cherished business in our community, and this incident affects us all. We recognize the hard work, dedication, and investment that went into building this new patio, which was set to enhance the dining experience and contribute to the vibrancy of our city.

Our Fire Department and RCMP are actively investigating the cause of the fire. We are committed to working diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident and to ensure the safety and security of all our local businesses.

Staff from our Economic Development Office are in close contact with the owners and are exploring ways to help in their recovery and rebuild efforts.

We stand together as a community. We urge everyone to support Chameleon Restaurant and our downtown and local businesses as they navigate through this difficult time.
