Maple Ridge, B.C., July 21, 2025 – Foodies should mark their calendars for Sunday, Sept. 21, when the brand-new signature event, Fields of Flavours, will give residents and visitors a chance to explore the region’s rich culinary culture through a locally inspired evening of food, drink, and community.
The inaugural event will take place at the picturesque grounds of Golden Ears Cheesecrafters—a family-run farm destination rooted in local tradition and known for its artisan cheeses and warm hospitality. The event is also being organized in collaboration with Emma Jane, Owner, Golden Ears Cheesecrafters and Tyler Towe, Owner Humble Roots Cafe, a Silver Valley-based culinary mainstay with elevated bistro-style cuisine.
“Fields of Flavours is all about connecting people to place through food,” says Mayor Dan Ruimy. “It reflects the pride we have in our local farms, chefs, and makers, and the stories they tell through their craft. We are excited to welcome guests from across the region to showcase our bold nature for this delicious new event!”
As part of a new tourism initiative, Fields of Flavours will bring together some of the city and region’s most celebrated chefs, brewers, and makers for a whimsical, tasting-style social gathering set against a beautiful farm backdrop. Attendees will savour the flavours and culinary talent of Maple Ridge, including:
- All-you-can-taste culinary stations featuring locally sourced and produced gourmet bites
- Craft beer and artisan beverage tastings from some of the region’s finest makers and mixologists
- Live music and open-air ambiance in a stunning farm setting with undercover areas
- Interactive chef-led culinary demos showcasing local food culture and techniques
- Meet the makers, connect and mingle with the region’s leading culinary minds
Inspired by the agricultural roots of Maple Ridge, Fields of Flavours embodies the city’s growing reputation as a destination for authentic experiences, local charm, and bold community spirit.
