Maple Ridge, B.C., November 26, 2025 – The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre wrapped up its annual Customer Appreciation Week, which ran from November 17–23, celebrating patrons with fun activities, contests, special offers, and a chance for guests to dance their way into the facility for free.
Throughout the week, City staff surprised visitors with spontaneous "Dance for Free Admission" pop-ups, offering complimentary drop-in access to anyone willing to share their best moves in the reception area. 168 adults, 61 seniors, and 43 kids stepped up their community spirit, with enthusiastic, funny, and energetic dances that lit up the lobby each day.
Customer Appreciation Week also featured free interactive activities and contests such as fitness bingo, aquatics puzzles, 3D printing demonstrations, free crafts at Albion Community Centre, and daily prize opportunities. 274 visitors also took advantage of a 10% discount on memberships throughout the week.
"We're incredibly thankful for our residents and patrons—your support and enthusiasm make the Leisure Centre such a vibrant hub for health and connection in the downtown core," said Cidalia Martin, Director of Recreation. "Seeing everyone cutting loose with the 'Dance for Free Admission' activations was a wonderful reminder of the bold energy of our community."
The City is encouraging residents to stay active through all seasons with drop-in services and membership passes available at any time of year. Holiday shoppers can also purchase multi-session punch passes or annual memberships that provide access to both Albion Community Centre and Maple Ridge Leisure Centre. Building A Vibrant and Healthy Community
Customer Appreciation Day is one of several new initiatives—like Social Saturdays and free weekend parking during the summer—that support Council's strategic vision to create an engaged and healthy community. Residents can look out for more fun, festivities, and special promotions beginning in January 2026.
