Maple Ridge Leisure Centre Receives a Colour Refresh

We are excited to share that the exterior of the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre and Greg Moore Youth Centre is undergoing an outdoor paint refresh! This transformation, set to take place over the next two weeks, will see our facility shift from the legacy red and grey-blue to a vibrant new palette of navy blue and teal, bringing a fresh and modern look to our community hub.

This work is part of the city's regular infrastructure maintenance to ensure our facilities and other amenities remain valuable assets to our community. This is the first significant repaint, since the original construction of the leisure centre and the 2019 renovation. Many sections, including the front of the building and GMYC entrance have never been repainted - until now.

This refresh is also part of a larger signage and visual update project in the civic centre to improve wayfinding and the beautification of our flagship recreation facility as we prepare to host over 3500 athletes and their coaches, families and friends from across the Province for the upcoming BC Summer Games. It’s important that the Leisure Centre is a vibrant, welcoming space that showcases our beautiful community and reflects the energy and spirit of this incredible opportunity for our city.

Future updates will also be made to other spaces in the Memorial Peace Park area. We aim to create a cohesive, welcoming and modern environment for visitors and our community through these enhancements.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period. Rest assured, our services and programs will continue as usual, and we're committed to minimizing any disruptions to your recreation and leisure activities.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
