Maple Ridge, B.C., July 11, 2024 – The City of Maple Ridge Fire Department crews will roll into neighbourhood parks this summer to help residents beat the heat and learn about fire and emergency safety with the return of the popular ‘Hot Summer Nights’ event.

These free, family-friendly events offer residents an opportunity to meet local firefighters, explore fire trucks, participate in interactive safety demonstrations, learn about emergency preparedness, and enjoy water activities to beat the summer heat.

Hot Summer Nights will take place every Wednesday from July 24 to August 14 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:

July 24 - Firefighters Park Fire Hall # 4 (11249 238 St.)

July 31 - Laity View Elementary School (21023 123 Ave) and Webster’s Corner Elementary School (25554 Dewdney Trunk Rd.)

Aug. 7 - Alouette Elementary School (22155 Isaac Cres.) and Alexander Robinson Elementary School (11849 238B St.)

Aug. 14 - Albion Fairgrounds Waterpark (23448 105 Ave.)

“We are excited to bring back Hot Summer Nights, which are always a highlight for our community,” said Fire Chief Dave Samson. “Come meet our firefighters, learn about fire safety and prevention, and check out our trucks. We look forward to seeing everyone and making this summer memorable and safe. Remember to bring your bathing suit and be ready to have some fun!”
