❗HIGH STREAMFLOW ADVISORY 🌧️
The BC River Forecast has issued a high streamflow advisory for the region.
River levels are rising or expected to rise rapidly, but no major flooding is expected. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Storm systems are expected to bring significant rainfall Tuesday morning into Wednesday.
Our Operations and Parks staff are ready to respond as needed to keep our community safe.
⚠️Residents are advised to:
- Take caution if out hiking or near fast-flowing rivers, creeks and potentially unstable riverbanks
- Keep pets and small children close to you at all times.
- Drive with caution and check DriveBC for road conditions
- Help keep catch basins clear to prevent localized flooding
- Make sure you have your rain gear ready
