Watch Susana Williams on the True North Stage on Canada Day. She is an award-winning vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer based in British Columbia. Her work blends elements of pop rock, Latin, and jazz, shaped by a long career in performance across genres and cultures. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, she has been active in the Canadian music scene for over two decades, performing, recording, and composing for both stage and screen. Her background also includes formal music education and ongoing work as a music educator.
Watch White Thunder Spirit Dance perform on the Cultural Stage on Canada Day. They were founded in 1987 by Champion Hoop dancer Gary Abbott. The goal of the group is to promote First Nations culture within their own culture and with all cultures. The dance troupe, based in Chilliwack BC, is made up of Indigenous dancers from all over our province. The group performs the Traditional Men's dance, the Fancy Dress dance, the Jingle Dress Dance and the Hoop dance.
