Applying for a Leak Adjustment on your Bill
Under Maple Ridge water service bylaw 6002-2001 Part 11 No. 33—Where evidence of a leak is discovered in a consumer’s metered waterworks system and reported, either by the consumer or the City, and such leak is repaired by the consumer within 30 days following discovery, the City will adjust the amount billed for water consumption for a maximum of the previous two quarterly bills plus the current quarter. The adjustment will be a credit of 50% of the cost of the consumption attributed to the leak, based on normal consumption preceding the leak, as determined by the Collector.
What to do:
- Identify and repair the leak on your property
- Read your meter to make sure your consumption is back to normal
- Fill out a Leak Adjustment Request Form
- Submit repair receipt(s) and/or photo(s)

Please ensure the Leak Adjustment Checklist on the form has been completed before submitting your Leak Adjustment Request Form as incomplete submissions will result in a delay.
