Festival Grants
The City of Maple Ridge offers a Festival Grant Program for eligible groups and approved festivals or special events held within the City. This program provides both in-kind and cash contributions for small, medium, and large festivals, whether they are new or recurring, in accordance with the City's Festival Support Policy 4.22 and Festival Grant Program Guidelines. The grant program includes two streams:
- Grassroots Grant
Available for emerging, small, or new festivals that have been publicly presented for less than three years. Applications are accepted year-round until available funds are allocated. According to the policy, staff review and approve applications based on the availability of funds.
Grassroots Grant Application - Festival Support Grant
For established festivals and special events that have taken place for three or more years. These applications are reviewed by an inter-departmental Committee that makes recommendations within the Council approved budget.
Here is the intake deadline:
- Saturday February 14, 2026 for festivals taking place between April 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026
- Saturday May 2, 2026 for festivals taking place between September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026
