Dan Ruimy has served as Mayor of Maple Ridge since 2022, bringing decades of business, community and public-service experience to the role. Under his leadership, Council has worked collaboratively to strengthen public safety, improve roads and infrastructure, expand meaningful community engagement, support housing and plan for the recreation facilities a growing city needs.
Before becoming mayor, Dan served as the Member of Parliament for Pitt Meadows–Maple Ridge, where he chaired the House of Commons Industry Committee. His private-sector career included helping to grow national franchise operations and opening 140+ restaurant locations. He later became a small-business owner, operating Bean Around Books in downtown Maple Ridge before donating the business to Pathfinders, an organization supporting youth at risk.
Dan is seeking re-election to keep Maple Ridge moving forward with steady leadership, responsible decision-making and a commitment to listening, working together and delivering lasting results for residents, local businesses and future generations.
