Volker Park is now open!
Families and neighbours can now enjoy the newly upgraded Volker Park.
Key features of this neighbourhood park include:
- new playground with zipline
- disc swing
- spinner
- rubber surfacing
- water spray park
- picnic shelter and tables
- paved pathways
- additional seating
- accessible washrooms
- improved parking (gated lot)
The upgrades were shaped by community feedback and designed to offer more opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities to play, cool off, connect and enjoy the outdoors close to home.
Hydroseeding and tree planting will begin once water restrictions are lifted and fall rains return, providing better conditions for grass and trees to grow.

Description
This park improvement project included the replacement of the old playground equipment that was damaged in 2025. It also provided new amenities to improve the neighborhood park to keep pace with our growing community. This included a new picnic shelter, washroom, parking, zipline, and spray park.
Results from the public engagement phase in 2025 indicated a strong interest in developing a spray park at Volker Park. This also aligned with the City’s Capital Plan for 2025/2026 to establish a new spray park on the west side of Maple Ridge.
