Jerry Kok is a Maple Ridge resident, community advocate, and business leader with more than 45 years of connection to the city. He attended the original Yennadon Elementary and later raised his family in Maple Ridge. Jerry served four years as President of the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce. During his presidency, the Chamber rebranded, opened a new Maple Ridge office, expanded membership by an average of 11 percent annually, and developed service agreements with Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. He received the Chamber’s inaugural Legacy Award for his contribution to the local business community. Jerry has also chaired Maple Ridge’s Diversified, Thriving Economy Advisory Committee and Transportation Advisory Committee. His additional public service includes the Maple Ridge Safety and Security Committee, Pitt Meadows Economic Development Advisory Committee, and ICBC Graduated Licensing Advisory Group. His priorities include economic opportunity, smart growth, safer streets, responsive leadership, and preserving Maple Ridge’s character.
