As a proud member of this community, I offer decades of experience in community organizing, public sector advocacy and labour, with a strong understanding of governance and public education.
I believe the people most affected by decisions deserve a voice in making them. As trustee, I will listen to students, families, educators, support workers and the community while advocating for safe, inclusive, well-supported public schools.
Maple Ridge can be a leader in providing publicly funded, accessible and affordable before and after school childcare. I will hold government accountable for providing the resources needed to deliver it.
School board budgets must put students first by investing in school staff, programs and supports while addressing recruitment, retention, workplace safety and growing student needs.
I will be a strong, relentless and unapologetic advocate for Maple Ridge students, working families, and the educators and support workers who make public education possible.
