Temporary traffic changes are in effect near Dewdney Trunk Road and 224 Street until further notice due to construction impacts from the development site at this location.
- Dewdney Trunk Road westbound lane is closed between 222 Street and 224 Street. Traffic has been shifted to eastbound lane with single lane traffic in each direction
- 223 Street between Dewdney Trunk Road and Brown Avenue is fully closed
- Sidewalks in this area are temporarily closed.
- TransLink has closed the bus stops in both directions and temporarily relocated to nearby stations between 221 and 222 St.
Crews are on site investigating and undertaking repair works. Please follow posted detour and directional signs to access nearby services. Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to use an alternate route where possible and allow extra travel time.
The City is actively monitoring the situation and working closely with the developer to ensure it is being addressed quickly, thoroughly and appropriately. The safety of our residents is our top priority. The developer has geotechnical engineers on site investigating the impacts and developing a remediation plan.
Updates will be shared directly by the developer with neighbouring properties as more information becomes available. The City will share updates if there are broader community impacts.
