Project Description

We are building a new neighbourhood park in Silver Valley to meet the needs of this growing community. The new park will include typical neighbourhood park amenities selected by the community through a public engagement process.

The park area is approximately 1 acre in size, partially cleared and with an existing stand of spruce trees in the north-east corner.  The site slopes downhill from Blaney Road towards 232A Street. The park is located beside a conservation area to the north and the Silver Valley trail system access to the south. The location of this neighbourhood park was determined through the Silver Valley Area Plan which forms part of the City’s Official Community Plan. The design and development of this park is included in the City’s 2025 Capital Plan

Estimated Completion: Late 2026.
