Phase 2
We are currently working on the next phase of the improvements to Pioneer Park which include the construction of a junior bike track, the resurfacing of the asphalt pathway throughout the park, and the installation of a park bench. Construction for these projects is anticipated to happen at a later date.

Project Description
Pioneer Park was developed in the mid 1980's on land that previously housed Golden Ears Elementary School. The park has an area for Community Gardens, pathways, a large open grass area and a playground and swing set structure that was installed in the late 1990's.
The original playground was over 25 years old and was showing signs of wear. As part of the City’s Parks Lifecycle Replacement program, this park renovation initiative ensures the new playground and park features continue the City’s commitment to provide safe play environments that meet the needs and preferences of local families.
