Maple Ridge, B.C., March 25, 2026 – The City of Maple Ridge is inviting local youth to take part in BC Youth Week 2026, taking place May 1 to 7, with a full schedule of free and engaging activities designed to celebrate youth, encourage connection, and highlight the diversity and talents of young people in the community.

As part of this update, the City is also advising that the annual Youth Talent Show, traditionally held during Youth Week, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 2, 2026.

The change in schedule is due to unanticipated scheduling challenges, and staff are working to ensure the event delivers the best possible experience for participants and attendees.

The City appreciates the community’s understanding and continued enthusiasm for this popular youth event. All applications received will be honoured. Applicants will receive updates as additional event details and next steps are confirmed in the coming weeks.

The City continues to be inspired by the creativity and talent of youth in the community and looks forward to celebrating and showcasing these talents later this year. Applications for the Youth Talent Show remain open. Interested participants can apply by emailing YouthPrograms@mapleridge.ca
