Maple Ridge, B.C., Sept. 25, 2026 – Celebrate the Night in Maple Ridge on Saturday, Oct. 24, with an evening of lights, spooky fun, live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks finale.
This year, the City is moving the FREE community event to the ACT Arts Centre, transforming the space for residents to enjoy activities, light displays, food trucks and entertainment—rain or shine.
“Fall weather can be unpredictable, so bringing Celebrate the Night to the ACT gives families a comfortable indoor place to enjoy much of the event while still keeping the outdoor excitement of the fireworks finale,” said Mayor Dan Ruimy. “It’s also an opportunity for residents to come together, make memories with friends and neighbours, and enjoy one of Maple Ridge’s key cultural spaces.”
Families can enjoy glowing light displays, food trucks, games and activities for all ages, music and live entertainment with festivities beginning at 6:00 p.m. The evening will end with a dazzling fireworks display at 8:15 p.m.
“Whether you come dressed in costume, stop by for the entertainment and activities, or gather with friends and family for the fireworks, there will be something for everyone to enjoy both inside and outside the ACT,” said Russ Brummer, Manager of Arts, Culture and Events.
The fireworks display will be viewed from the parking lot behind the ACT Arts Centre, beside the Haney Transit Loop.
This year’s celebration includes:
- Family Fun – Roving entertainers, balloon twisting, face painting, music, a contortionist performance
- Food Trucks – A variety of festival favourites to enjoy
- Games and Light Displays – Activities and glowing displays for all ages

- Fireworks Finale – A spectacular display lighting up the sky at 8:15 p.m.
Accessible Event Experience
An early access period from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. will again be available for people with diverse disabilities and their families. This quieter period is intended to offer a more comfortable experience, with reduced crowds and shorter line-ups. A Sensory Room will also be available at the ACT Arts Centre.
Traffic, Parking and Transit Impacts
To safely set up and deliver the fireworks display, the parking lot behind the ACT Arts Centre and the access lane leading to it will be closed from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
There are no planned impacts to the Haney Transit Loop. However, visitors should expect additional pedestrian activity in the area.
Parking will be limited. Residents are encouraged to walk, cycle, take transit or carpool where possible. From 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., access to the ACT Arts Centre underground parking lot will be available from Dewdney Trunk Road only.
Fireworks Safety
The Maple Ridge Fire Department will supervise a designated safety zone around the fireworks launch site. For everyone’s safety, residents are reminded that fireworks are prohibited in Maple Ridge without a special events permit.
