Administered by BC Parks, starting May 15, Golden Ears Park will require day-use passes during peak periods.
- From May 15, day-use passes will be required to access areas beyond the Spirea trailhead in Golden Ears Park until September 7 (inclusive) from Friday to Monday.
- At Golden Ears, the passes are vehicle passes that are required until 3:30 PM, after which visitors may travel to the park without a pass. The number of available passes is managed based on parking lot capacity.
- While campers and their visitors do not require day-use passes at Golden Ears, they must have a copy of the camping reservation to enter the park.

Benefits of Day-use Passes:
- Provide visitors with more predictable, planned park experiences in less crowded, more peaceful parks.
- Reduce the likelihood of unnecessary travel to at-capacity parks and encourage visitors to carpool or use alternative modes of transportation.
- Help manage visitor impacts on the park system and its wildlife, while encouraging visitors to interact with educational materials on responsible recreation.
